Penrith Anglican College is a pre-kindergarten through to year 12 school, with an emphasis on teaching personal excellence. Located at the foot of the Blue Mountains, Orchid Hills, the school offers students a modern campus environment and state of the art learning facilities.
Penrith Anglican College wanted the 2017 yearbook, ‘The Harvest’, to reflect the theme ‘character matters’ through a conservative and classic visual style. The schools’ colours, red and black, were to be featured throughout the yearbook to express their commitment to tradition.
‘The Harvest’ was structured using bold lines and crisp grid patterns, creating a contemporary yet conservative design that depicted Penrith Anglican School’s strong school values. Additionally, ‘The Harvest’ colour pallet mirrored the schools’ colours, red and black, visually illustrating their respect for tradition. The cover of ‘The Harvest’ spoke to the theme, implementing a subtle word cloud through a print technique known as spot UV, which also enabled the theme to be felt.
